Michael Carey has over 30 years of experience in financial and estate planning, and has spent over 20 of those years in planned giving. He has served as Director of Planned Giving for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, The American Heart Association, The Episcopal Dioceses of Atlanta and Philadelphia, Episcopal Church Foundation and Columbia Theological Seminary. He has extensive experience working with numerous local charities and their donors throughout the United States. Michael studied advanced charitable estate design extensively under the tutelage of Ray Lyne with Lifestyle Giving.
An accomplished presenter, Michael has coached and mentored development staff in charitable estate design and various advanced gift arrangements, such as charitable remainder and lead trusts, gift annuities, beneficiary designations and bequests. He also has extensive experience working with professional advisors and attorneys to achieve donor and client goals. Michael attended Florida Community College and The University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. He resides in Atlanta with his wife and children.
