31 and Counting: How HIAS Foundation ‘Rocket Launched’ Its CGA Program

a rocket with the letters HAIS written on the side launches from launch pad withThe HIAS Foundation began promoting charitable estate planning and endowment opportunities in the fall of 2023. Three years later, HIAS Foundation has raised more than $80 million in current gifts and testamentary commitments, including 31 new charitable gift annuities, many in partnership with the National Gift Annuity Foundation (NGAF). In this webinar, HIAS Foundation executive director Jonathan Boiskin talks with NGAF’s Johnne Syverson about ramping up a successful gift annuity program.

You’ll learn:

  • How partnerships behind the scenes help a small team
  • How to enhance a CGA marketing campaign to capture attention and reinforce messaging
  • Where CGAs fit in the larger philanthropic plans of some inspiring HIAS Foundation donors, whose generosity didn’t end with their planned gifts.
  • Data around why demographics are better now than they have ever been for CGAs, and they are expected to get even better

Our National Gift Annuity Foundation has over 350 charitable partners, nearly 1,500 gift annuities and $150 million in assets.  We have received CGAs in all 50 states, over 300 QCD CGAs, testamentary/flexible/deferred CGAs, real estate/crypto/RLE funded CGAs.
