All DAF professionals need to be familiar with the history of DAFs, the diverse types of DAF sponsors, and the primary factors driving donors to choose DAFs and DAF sponsors. They also need to understand the fundamentals of the differing roles of donors, professional advisors, fund advisors, and staff in establishing and managing DAFs.
